LPC · Evidence and AI

Meet the LPC Editor.

Technology can help people ask better questions and navigate complicated evidence. It cannot replace a regulator, a healthcare professional or a verified source.

The LPC Editor is the name for LPC's source-aware editorial and AI operating layer, not a promise of a fully autonomous or medically qualified AI assistant.

A practical purpose

What we are building AI to do

Find the evidence

Answer general questions by pointing to original, dated public-health and regulator material, with clear country or province context.

Planned public Evidence Navigator; not a live Q&A tool on this page.

Watch for changes

Notice when official source pages change and prepare human-reviewable editorial drafts without claiming the law automatically changed.

Existing source-monitoring foundations; public change explanations need separate verification.

Make the industry clearer

Help organize company data, distinguish verified facts from company-supplied descriptions, and offer reviewed corrections.

Directory and claim foundations exist; automated certification is not offered.

Connect Canada's view to the world

Research international medical/scientific policy through original sources, never assuming an export permit or legal market access.

Global AI comparison assistant is planned.

Transparency · today

What exists, and what does not

LPC's development system includes source-aware industry intelligence, editorial synthesis foundations and a private Ask My LPC member experience. These code foundations do not establish that live public AI answering or autonomous daily publication is available or certified.

Public consumer education and the directory do not depend on AI, a paid membership, or a producer's participation. No personal medical advice or product recommendation is generated here.

Evidence standards

What a trustworthy LPC answer must show

  • The original source and a link to read it directly.
  • Which province or country the answer applies to.
  • When the information was published or took effect, when known, and when LPC last checked.
  • Whether the statement is an official fact, industry claim, editorial interpretation or member opinion.
  • What is uncertain, missing or requires independent professional review.

AI proposals do not silently change licence status, health guidance or company ownership. Sponsorship cannot buy a favourable assessment.
