Cannabis Check-In. Understand your habits.

Eight private questions, a goal you choose, and evidence-based ideas about lowering harm. You don't have to promise to quit—or sign up—to benefit.

Designed for adults. No single questionnaire can tell you that cannabis use is safe. The safest way to avoid further cannabis exposure is not to use; for people who continue, less frequent use and other informed choices can lower some risks.

Below your province's legal age? We recommend avoiding cannabis. See youth guidance and confidential support instead →

Your answers. Your priorities.

These questions reflect risk topics identified by Canadian public-health guidance. They are not a diagnostic screen or a scientifically validated composite test, and LPC doesn't calculate a made-up “addiction score.”

You can skip any question. For more context, explore the complete lower-risk cannabis use guide.

Your answers stay in this page.

No login, server submission, cookies, saved journal or personal health record is created by this check-in. Refreshing or leaving the page clears your answers. LPC can collect ordinary page-visit analytics, but not the choices you make here.

01How often have you used cannabis recently?

Think about the last 30 days, not your lifetime.

02Do you often choose strong THC products or concentrates?

High-THC extracts, concentrates and stronger products count here.

03Do you smoke cannabis?

Smoke can affect your lungs even when cannabis itself is legally produced.

04Have you used cannabis together with alcohol or other impairing substances?

This includes some medications. Ask a pharmacist before changing prescribed treatment.

05Have you driven or operated dangerous equipment while you might still have been impaired?

Feeling fine is not a reliable measure of driving ability.

06Have you tried to reduce your use but found it hard to follow through?

Or found that you used more or longer than you intended.

07Do you notice problems with sleep, mood, memory, work or relationships connected to your use?

Your personal observations matter, even without a diagnosis.

08Do special circumstances make cannabis potentially more risky for you?

Examples: pregnancy/breastfeeding; young adulthood; personal or family psychosis history; possible medication interactions.

What would you like to focus on?

0 of 8 questions answered. You can skip anything you're uncomfortable sharing.

Designed for adults. This is an original evidence-informed reflection exercise, not the validated CUDIT-R, a medical device, addiction diagnosis, or a substitute for professional care. LPC does not suggest “safe” THC amounts or personalized treatment.

Where these ideas come from.

We draw on Canada's Lower-Risk Cannabis Use Guidelines, Health Canada risk information, and the Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction's work on self-reflection. A formally validated cannabis screening option—the CUDIT-R—is available separately through the PhenX Toolkit, but this LPC check-in does not reproduce or score it.
