OCS Distribution Centre To Open in Guelph
Ontario Cannabis Store Relocates from Oakville to Larger Facility– LPC
A new OCS distribution centre will open in Guelph sometime in October, the Ontario Cannabis Store (OCS) announced. The larger facility will replace its Oakville location.
“We have begun the process, and we are looking to have the Guelph facility operational in early October,” said Daffyd Roderick, OCS senior director of communications and social responsibility. (Please see link to full story in Guelph Today, below.) “It will be running the exact same service. It’s just a much larger facility.”
Whispers of a second cannabis distribution warehouse began at least last month. It’s not surprising given Ontario’s new wave of cannabis stores.
“Right now I think we’re at 164 stores across Ontario that have their doors open,” Roderick said. “They order on a weekly cycle and we have relationships with more than 75 licensed producers.”
The OCS distribution centre services all retail cannabis stores in Ontario. It also sells cannabis online through its own store.
