Mike Tyson’s Cannabis Beverage Printer
Revolutionary Cannabis Beverage Printer “Paints” Cannabis In a Cup, and Just Add Water – LPC
The Ranch Companies, founded by boxer Mike Tyson, have announced it has a global licence for a unique cannabis beverage printer. The licence comes from its partner, “Smart Cups”. According to the Forbes article, Smart Cups prints “active and flavour ingredients from diverse natural products on the surface of substrates.” This eliminates liquid, reducing transportation costs. Tyson also claims that the cannabis beverage printer will improve dosing.
“Having the ability to produce lines of ingestible cannabis products that will have accurate and consistent doses of cannabis is incredibly important to us,” Tyson said.
Maintaining accurate and consistent dosage is a challenge in the cannabis industry. In medical cannabis, experts recommend creating a standard cannabis unit. For beverages in particular, cans actually remove the levels of cannabis over time. Once CEO quoted a rate of 97 per cent over “a few months”.
Tyson and The Ranch Companies claim to have solved that problem. But they also seem to claim one of the other problems: they’ve found water-soluble cannabis technology.
“In this specific application, we use water soluble cannabinoids and are able to precisely print them on virtually any surface,” said Smart Cups CEO Chris Kanik. “The printed actives and flavours are released when they come in contact with a liquid (e.g. water, soda, or saliva).”
They don’t explain in this article how they do it. But it might be the biggest revelation of Tyson’s cannabis beverage printer.
