LPC’s Most-Read Cannabis News Stories of 2019
Guess What Landed Twice in the Top Three Most-Read Cannabis News Stories This Year – LPC
It’s been a wild year for cannabis in Canada. Optimism has gone from high to low to high again. In fact, our story yesterday about the success of Cannabis 2.0 products is 2019’s sixth most-read cannabis news story. (And climbing fast – by the time you read this, it may have jumped a few spots.) We take that as an indication people are shrugging off the negativity of the autumn, and ready for another rally in 2020.
It’s interesting too that two of the top three stories involve the Ontario Cannabis Store (OCS). Ontario’s government run online cannabis shop has had its share of difficulties. A common theme in 2019 is that building a billion-dollar industry from scratch will have speed bumps. The OCS seems to capture this feeling in a nutshell. However, with recent announced changes, the retail cannabis market in Ontario looks to be opening up. That in itself could cause a cannabis bull market in 2020.
One last note: a few of the most-read cannabis news stories of 2019 were from previous years. This list includes only those that were published in 2019.
Without further ado, we give you the 10 most-read cannabis news stories of the past year:
